Chas had found a wallet while swimming at Lake Roy in Winter Haven Florida with over $1000. He was able to locate the owner and return the wallet with all of its contents! Chas is pictured here in his Pathfinder Full Dress Uniform holding said wallet.

Sugar Cookie, an adorable little goat we first had to rescue when she was born the week of Christmas, then had to rescue her at 3 weeks of age after she had been attacked by wild dogs and had her leg badly broken. Her owners had given us permission to try our best to save her and gave her to us. We brought her with us all the way from FL to TX. She needed round the clock care for a short while. Try to sell your house in an upscale neighborhood while having a goat living with you--I must say it certainly added loads of laughter! Sadly, a few months after we moved to Texas, Sugar Cookie came down with a fever and died suddenly in my arms at 3:20 a.m. one morning. We knew that she very well would have health complications, but her death took us all by surprise, as she was healing so nicely. We would do it all over again, sadness and all, as she brought rays of sunshine to us that we never ever dreamed of!
